Lottery Singapore

Singapore Pools has been running lottery games since 1968, and it is the only legal lottery operator in Singapore. It offers a wide range of games, including 4D, Toto and Singapore Sweep. It also runs sports betting on football, cricket and horse racing.

SG Toto: A popular lottery game

The earliest version of the Singapore Toto was introduced in 1968 and it is still one of the most played lotteries in the country. It has a jackpot that starts at S$ 1 million and can roll over four times, increasing in size each time until a lucky winner is found.

SG Toto has seven prize tiers that each offer a fixed amount or a percentage of the jackpot, and these prizes can be claimed in either an annuity or a lump sum. The jackpot can only be won by matching all six of the main numbers drawn, and each draw has a snowballing feature that increases the jackpot size for every draw that it doesn’t win until it rolls over again.

All authorised betting operators and authorised lottery promoters are required to submit a statement and pay gambling duty to IRAS by the 15th day of the month following the end of the month during which they conduct their betting activities. Failure to do so is a breach of the law and could lead to prosecution by IRAS.
